Visualizing solar eclipses
I also recently built a frontend app for visualizing solar eclipses.

Solar eclipses are an especially nice subject for visualization because they combine geometry, orbital motion, scale, and timing in a way that is both visually appealing and scientifically interesting.
This app is intended to make it easier to explore:
- how the Sun, Moon, and Earth line up
- how eclipse paths and visibility depend on geometry
- how a visual model can make the underlying physics more intuitive
